Pakmaya undertook the necessary investments to create production and distribution under the most rigorous and hygienic conditions for meeting ever increasing domestic and international demand. In 1973 the Köseköy, Izmit factory was established in Turkey for the production of bakers’ yeast. Due to ever increasing demand, Kemalpaşa, the Izmir factory was then established in 1986, and followed by the Cumayeri, Duzce factory in 1990. Pakmaya founded its fourth bakers’ yeast factory in Paşcani, Romania in 1998. This modern plant meets most of Romania’s demand for yeast, as well as exporting to many neighboring countries.
